One of my favourite Sunday activities is to mooch around Portobello Road. Liv and I hadn’t seen each other since before Christmas, so we set a date and Liv made the long trek up from South London to Notting Hill.
Portobello Road is an instagrammer’s paradise, with perfectly proportioned buildings painted varying candy floss shades of pastel.
The shops heading up the hill sell the kind of wares that are more fun to rummage through than actually buy.

Vintage prints...
Everything "I love London" you can think of...
And all sorts of bookshops and bakeries that demand to be snooped around.
With most of the Christmas lights and tinsel still up, Notting Hill still feels pretty festive for January.
As well as the stalls that line Portobello Road, there’s plenty of boutiques to spend hours window shopping...
...and well positioned benches to people (and dog) watch from.
We made a quick pilgrimage to Biscuiteers, and decided we were much too hungry to carry on.
As tempting as the biscuits in the window were, we were on the hunt for some serious carbs.
Honest Burger makes some of the my favourite burgers in London.
I went for the special; beef, cheese, pulled BBQ jackfruit, guacamole, chipotle.
Liv went for the Tribute; beef, bacon, American cheese, mustard, pickles. onion and lettuce.
All the burgers come with a side of their rosemary salted fries, which is a good thing, because they are out-of-this-world delicious. Definitely give them a try when you’re next near one of their restaurants. You won’t regret it- Honest!
Bellies full of burger, it was time to draw our Sunday afternoon to a close and head back to flop (elegantly) onto the sofa for the evening. If you’re in the area, I really recommend a visit to Portobello Road- just remember to bring your camera!
